I still remember the first I ever saw. A brilliant white Honda or Mazda or something, tough to judge because he (the bro involved here, complete with frosted tips and a white T and probably a lanyard dangling from his pocket) had surgically removed all badges from the car and dead center on the tip of the hood was a purple decepticon logo. I started immediately convulsing and had to be airlifted from the scene.

I guess I'm missing the joke. What's cliché about it?

As long as that's the only mod, I'll take it!

Looks like it has a front body kit and side skirts tacked on. Also I don't think that color is original.

There's a crew cab old Canyon running around here with a big transformers sticker on the bed. I don't hate it, actually kinda like it. At least it's on a GM truck that could have been in transformers.

I think you're right about the body kit, that front bumper looks way too low. The color looks like Royal Sapphire Pearl though, a factory Toyota color

Ah. I've never seen that color before. I really like it here

Correct. There was a beat to hell kit on the front.

Swapping your badges for Autobot or Decepticon badges has been the go-to lately ever since the transformer movies came out. Cliche that it became quickly so synonymous with the tuner crowd, ie this supra

I used to work with an older guy that drag raced every Wednesday evening (he called it "Group Therapy"). He was in his early 60s and had "Summit Racing", "Holly", and "Jegs" stickers all over his car. He didn't know that only hillbillies put "Summit" stickers on the underside of their hoods, and I never told him that because he was having a blast racing with his buddies every week and he liked stickers. He was always happy to be in the company of other car guys and just wanted everyone to do a celebratory burnout (or power-slide) just for being alive and kicking. His attitude was that everyone should drive whatever they want and they should do whatever they want to their cars because racecar/driftcar/showcar/beatercar/ricecar/whatevergetsyouhigh! He didn't care if the machine lined up in the next lane was a full-race Camaro or Bob's wife's Avalon. His attitude was that life's short, do whatever the hell makes you smile, and enjoy yourself (even if that means putting a huge "Jeg's" sticker on your back window)! He had a great appreciation and tolerance of all the different car communities and tastes and I'd like to think I learned a valuable lesson from hanging out with him. I try to emulate his "live and let live" attitude towards other car guys as well as I can.
The reason I tell that story is that maybe this Supra is driven by an old dude and he thinks the transformer badge is the coolest thing that my grandmother forwarded to him this month, so he bought it. If that's the case, then I'd give him a thumbs-up and be on my merry. "Cool car, gramps. I dig the modifications. Maybe some mag wheels are next?"
Or maybe it's some drift-bag tool with a pencil-thin beard listening to Darude (turned up to 11 so that everyone else can hear Sandstorm too) on his way to pick up some fresh kicks from Foot Locker. In that case, he really should know better...

Good story and I know the feeling. Come on, I drive a lower Sebring convertible with a flowmaster exhaust and home made projector headlights - I know them feels.
But she was a younger looking Asian girl. Had I not been working it would have been a nice conversation starter.
